Did Wahlberg let something slip? He says "I'm the guy who's got all the rats, and doesn't wanna let anybody else know who they are..." :D :D

Will Wahlberg says the line so quickly ..and then moves to I know there is a rat somewhere in State Police...I don't think anyone who isn't as familiar with movie as we are would relate what he to how the movie ends

I noticed how in the early scene of Costello with young colin, Costello seems to be in shadow. Could this be partly done to hide Nicholson's age in this scene?

ArtReborn- 09-22-2006

That was really cool. Thanks departed!

Thanks, departed. I noticed how in the early scene of Costello with young colin, Costello seems to be in shadow. Could this be partly done to hide Nicholson's age in this scene?Maybe it'll lead to a dramatic Harry Lime-ish illumination of his face.

Maybe it'll lead to a dramatic Harry Lime-ish illumination of his face. The third man? In what context did that happen?

arnzilla- 09-22-2006

I forget exactly, but it was a reveal. Since Jack is apparently wearing glasses in the "she fell funny" scene, maybe Scorsese keeps him in darkness until the "what's the difference" portion of the meeting with young Colin. Lame theory, but at some point he does come out of the shadows in that scene.

No, it's very interesting. I'll take a look at it later on to see when it happens. Nice grins... :)
