I'M NOT THERE (OR as says Haynes & Dylan) All right.. don't know yet... but I have a little crutch about that film.. so as it is the OT board... I "allow" myself to post my optimistic enthusiasm (=pleonasm) :)
I'm curious about that film ... I'M NOT THERE. - The lives and Time of Bob Dylan... played by 5 different actors and an actress... The film is directed by Todd Haynes
Of course, Marty's previous documentary raised my interest on the subject I was not a real fan of and when I read the name of Cate Blanchett playing Dylan, I was more than curious... and what a cast for one character... surprising and exciting....

My...Belle de jour
My...Belgian connection
My Lou...
Merci for this and for the other thing...
I love Dylan and i love Haynes.
So, i`m expecting this film with open arms.
And i love this offbeat and uncoventional approach from Haynes. (Multiple actors as Dylan that is).
I think it`s gonna be fun and maybe surrealistic.
I can`t wait.
Optimistic enthusiasm Lou? I love that.
Lou, u know what?...U ROCK!!! :D

Hi.
The film and Cate allready winning awards, starting from Venice.
And i`ve read some great reviews about it.
So, i think we are going to experience something really special.
And moving to a personal and not so irrelevant note.
A week ago i attend to the most important concert of my life. Patti Smith`s.
What an unforgettable night that was.
Patti performing "Are you experienced" with klarino!!!
"Smells like teen spirit" with bouzouki!!!
Dedicating "Because the night" to Maria Callas
Her performances in "Dancing Barefoot", "Free Money", and in "Gloria"
In "Happy Birthday John (Coltrane)"
Getting off the stage and coming to us, during "Pushing too hard", to give us her hand.
Patti wearing a T-shirt with the peace sign and the word LOVE.
Her urge to us for peace and revolution.
"U are the future. A worldwide youth movement can demand peace on the planet".
It was a celebration for peace and love. Of what`s important. A call to make a difference.
It was like the 60`s. Or at least felt like that.
When revolution and hope were in the air.
Patti, with her rebelious attitude, her smile and her energy, made us all feel that.
Her encore with "People have the power" and "Rock n Roll Nigger".
And then covering her face with the peace flag.
And delivering a heartfelt, warm and touching "U have my heart".
And u have ours Patti. And u have ours.
Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, Joan Baez...
Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs...
Symbols of a generation who tried to change the world.
This is the America i loved, love and will always love.
I have nothing else to say.
