I just tried to open the board and get a nice big "Hacked By....." opening page. Anyone speak kurdish?

Hi Margot! Nope, I don't read Kurdish lol! The site has been hacked, and that weird page has been there since yesterday. Anyone know what's going on?

well, personally speaking, it wouldn't make me unhappy to see that website die a quiet death :roll:

Thanks scream - I wondered how long it had been down and this is the only board I'm registered to post on that might get an answer. I guess that will be it now. Richard didn't want to put it back up last time it was hacked but the moerators persuaded him to let them manage it. 1999 - it's been a long time! I'm sorry someone found it necessary to take away that community. No-one had to visit it who didn't like it. Abstract - I don't give a flying fuck what you think.

Margot are you sure they won't put it up again? Have you tried mailing the mods? Since the last time it was hacked to present, I know the popularity of the site has gone down like hell, and a lot of members have stopped posting. And I'll admit right here, the moderators didn't do a good job of moderating, allowing so many trolls to run riot. With the dropped popularity, maybe they will deicide to shut it down. I'm pretty sure the last time it got hacked, the forums were better received and had a bigger demand. Sadly that's not the case anymore. I strongly belive the moderators are at fault.

you nailed it - if someone's gonna take the responsibility of opening a site and someone's gonna take the responsibility of moderating it, then they should take it seriously and do their part. It's trollville last time I checked there and it's an insult to call it a Leofans board.

scream - I don't have any private email addresses for the moderators so I can't contact them. I'm not going to pursue this with the politics of the Leofans board. As I said, this is the only board I am registered to post on where I could ask the question.

I searched my inbox, and the only addresses I have of them are the leofans ones. BUT there is an option, and that is Richard's email addy on thaistudents, which I have. Is Richard still involved with leofans? I will PM it to you anyway, and let me know if you hear from him!

Margot Just read your alert to situation and checked it out and see what you are talking about As a long time poster there certainly hope that this 'terrible action' on someone's part does NOt mean the end of Richard's wonderful community

They have restored the homapage and there is a notice that says they are woking on it at the moment. So Margottttt, I guess this is not the end afterall? =)
