on a similar theme....
....is it the bit from Trainspotting, Renton's forced withdrawal from heroin and vision of the dead baby?
arnzilla- 09-08-2008
Nope. Don't overthink it. The track is called "Amnesia."
.............. I thought the manic laughter was you Arnzilla :lol:Nuh-uh, this is me.

Got it!
It's Paul Oakenfield's Amnesia. Is it from from Memento?
That's a very fruity chuckle you have there Arnzilla, no good for chilling the spine though

Aahh... Memento! Wouldn't have thought of it, even with the easy clue...
I like the current choice. But it sounds like it is me who's playing the organ... And I can't play the organ...

Love the new music too. Sounds Italian to me but from whence I don't know. Maybe I have Italian on the mind as I have discovered Bertolucci's Novecento and am transfixed!

I'm lost...

leela- 09-17-2008
Shynney has a better ear than me then :?
It sounds like something to accompany Vincent Price in one of those Edgar Allan Poe adaptations.
The only Venetian composer I can think of is Vivaldi maybe one of his religious pieces?
OK just guessing wildly here in case you haven't noticed.
Is it a movie soundtrack or from something on TV?
How about giving us a clue?

I think the more well known version is the Doors one.
arnzilla- 09-17-2008
Way to go Will! It's Tomaso Albinoni's Adagio, featured in Welles' "The Trial."
Shynney- 09-18-2008
Shows how much attention I payed to the music when watching 'The Trial'! Riveting movie though!
leela- 09-19-2008
Well done Will, I don't get the Doors referrence but don't tell me I'll try work it out myself.
Shynney- 10-04-2008
Love this new music. Is it something from Star Wars? Whatever it is, love it. The previous clip sounded Russian to me but here I am again fishing in the dark!

Love this new music. Is it something from Star Wars? Whatever it is, love it. The previous clip sounded Russian to me but here I am again fishing in the dark! The "Russian-sounding" track was "D'immenso giubilo" from Lucia di Lammermoor as it appeared in Cape Fear during the airport chase scene.
The new music is actually a track called "New York" from Elmer Bernstein's unused score for Gangs of New York. I think it was supposed to be used at the end as the skyline rises from the ashes.
