Quick rundown... mostly Blood Diamond talk, Leo does impression of his granny Leno hopes it's Scorsese's year Watts has bad hair day

that was a fun and I know for his fans, a great interview Leonardo had on the show, and a real treat as he does so few of those talk show circuits. he's done exactly just 3 in 11-13 years - Letterman and 2 Leno's; well 4 if you count Charlie Rose. Leonardo did talk about how he met Scorsese the first time; thru DeNiro and also said he was surprised that Scorsese had seen his work and that he is like a film historian, having seen just about every film made. Leno also asked him if he could vote on the Golden Globes, for which role he would choose and Leonardo said he loved them both and that was his politically correct answer of the day.

Courtney posted the Leno transcript on the WC board courtesy of Jhoey. Here's an excerpt: Jay: Now, you also got nominated, of course, for "The Departed." Scorsese nominated again, too. I think this is going to be his year. Don't you agree? Leo: I believe so, yeah. Jay: How many films have you you guys done together? Leo: This is our third film together. Jay: Oh, okay. How did you first meet him? Did he see you? Did you approach him? Leo: I met him in New York and I was 18 years old. And he -- De Niro actually did a movie with him, and I was introduced. And he actually had seen some of my films, and I was pretty blown away that he had known anything that I had ever done. But it just shows that he's a catalog of cinema. He constantly watches movies. Jay: Yeah, yeah. Leo: As he is. He's a film historian, and he's always watching every film that comes out. It's pretty amazing. Jay: Well, I hope he wins this year. Leo: So do I.

When the heck will Leo ever do an Inside the Actor's Studio? I mean, if Liption can have people like Mike Myers and Rosie O'Donnell as guests, I think Leo just about qualifies. ;)

ArtReborn, being"qualified" has nothing to do with Leo not being on Inside the Actors Studio yet. He was quoted as saying he didn't feel quite ready to go on a show like that and talk about his career in perspective yet when he was asked by Lipton to be on the show.So whenever he wants to, he'll be on. :wink:

Regarding Inside the Actors Studio, the schedule on the Bravo site has Matt's appearance scheduled for January 2nd (instead of the 8th). Maybe it's been moved up?

I must look up cable and see if we are still getting "Inside the Actors' Studio". We'll probably be months behind but you never know! Someone please post and tell me if they have Ben in the audience flashing his smile everytime Matt says something - just as they did when Ben was in the hotseat and Matt had his teeth nicely bleached for the occasion. (Did I say that? I must be married to a dentist.) But I really would like to see ALL of those Lipton shows instead of the 50 minutes edited for air time.

I don't think this was mentioned yet on the board but I'm trying to play catch-up.. On Inside the Actor's Studio, Damon did a Nicholson impression and acted out a longer version of the beach execution scene from the beginning of the film. There was only a male victim in the shooting script but Nicholson requested a woman be there, too. French's line about Francis needing professional help wasn't in response to "she fell funny." After that line, Nicholson looks down at her corpse and improvs "wait, I think I wanna fuck her again." Then he laughs it off and lets French know that he was only kidding. BTW, on the People's Choice Awards, Damon lost to a hungover Vince Vaughn and the team of DiCaprio/Damon/Nicholson lost to Depp and Knightly.
