Farmiga was on Letterman last Thursday. Anyone catch it?

ArtReborn- 01-21-2007

Yeah, I did actually. She was damn adorable... Quirky and cute... Dave asked how it was working with the "pretty boys" and she said that even though there was so much -*test*-('")osterone among the set, they also had a "feminine" side and were all very gentle and nice. Then she talked about how she used to be a Ukrainian folk dancer when she was a kid and Dave made her get up to do a bit of a jig thing. I really fell a bit in love with her at that moment. Sweet. Oh, and the little clip of her as a prostitute in Breaking and Entering was funny as hell. She's got great timing. The film might be worth seeing just for her...

Critic Choice Awards
E! showed an hour of the Critics Choice awards ceremony on Saturday the 20th. Just some of the big awards. Nice to see Spielberg present Best Director to Scorsese and to hear Marty's speech.

Anyone ever watch Discovery Channel's Mythbusters? Kari Byron, the host, was the spitting image of Farmiga when I watched it the other day. This screencap wasn't that particlular episode, but it sorta looks like her:

I heard they had a clip on ET last night which featured the ira mfer at the end. Anybody know how to post it. Much appreciated. Thanks Boston Pete.

Art and Arnz Thanks for news concerning Vera's Lettermen appearance.... They had lots of good photos of Vera posted at Wireimage the other day from her interviews at Sundance Peter "AH" also showed your scene when David Krager of "EW" was talking about "TD" being the film most likely to win BP !!! Would love to be able to post clip for you if I could ... Know you have to be so proud to be part of this wonderful film ! :) And for sure...just like the "you talking to me scene' from "Taxi Driver"....your scene is that type scene for "TD"

I just finished watching this show and it made me SICK. They are predicting Hudson, Murphy, Mirren, Whitaker and Babel for Best Picture. If you missed the show, don't worry, it would have only upset you.

Tuesday, January 30th, Oprah, Oscar Extravaganza 2007. I am sure most of it will be past interviews she has done with the nominees like Leo. But who knows, she might have a few new interviews. For those interested here is the link. http://www2.oprah.com/presents/2007/oscars/stars/stars_main.jhtml

Guess after the noms, its time for some Oscar campaigning - go Markeee! THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO, NBC Th 2/8: Mark Wahlberg, Mat Kearney

Peanut80- 02-09-2007

Wahlberg on Leno Thought was good interview...talked about growing up in Boston...his problems with police...does mention that he is still in touch with his probation officer, others in police force who helped him turn his life around.Says that at Golden Globes he learned that one of the guys who bodyguards Beyonce used to be a Boston cop who once arrested him Mentioned he is good friends with policeman Duffy who helped on film/played "governor' in graduation sequence. That they had just played golf at Xmas and that Duffy told him to call him 'Gov' Mentioned that he loved the part in "TD" because he got to give everyone a hard time and they couldn't do anything... Mentions giving DiCaprio a hard time in office interrogation scene and that DiCaprio was furious with him but couldn't do anything as his character had to just sit there and take it... At the end of interview they show the conference room scene ...says he liked getting to tell off his brother Robert who plays FBI guy Lazio....as he always picked on him when they were growing up He asks him about possible sequel...just say there are 'talks'....and it would feature his character.. but Jay said "we don't want you to say too much and give any of the film away.." Also thought interesting that he said "TD" was based on "Infernal Affairs" trilogy...as anyone who has seen all the "IA" films knows that "TD" has aspects of all '3' films in it ...but first time I've heard someone from film mention it draws from all '3' films... Jay showed "TD" dvd /would be released Tues
