Nota Bene- 02-09-2007

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty good interview, also, Peanut. Very lively. Nice recap, by the way! :)

kek- 02-11-2007

Tonight on BBC 1: The BAFTA's from 9 pm till 11:20 pm.

Lou- 02-11-2007

And fortunately we got BBC in Belgium, thanks KEK. and I hope to raise my glass by the end of this evening and say "GEZONDHEID ! " to Marty :D (Fingers crossed)

:D Lou Yes, fingers crossed! My predictions: Best Direction, Adapted Screenplay and Editing Best Actor in a leading role: I saw The Last King of Scotland this week. Forrest Whitaker did a terrific job in portraying Idi Amin. He's probably going to win, although it is debatable that he is the lead role or the supporting role. Best Film: probably Babel. Also enjoyed that one although I'm getting a little bit tired of this sort of movies (like Short Cuts, Magnolia, Amores Perros, 21 grams, Crash, ...). They're done a little bit to much over the past few years I think... Of all Inarritu's movies I still prefer 1) Amores Perros and 2) 21 grams. He is a good director but I hope he makes a different type of movie, with a different type of storytelling. Or else he 'll be considered as a one-trick-pony, which he doesn't deserve, because he has the talent.

He asks him about possible sequel...just say there are 'talks'....and it would feature his character.. but Jay said "we don't want you to say too much and give any of the film away.."Wahlberg said that the sequel would be "me following...... me." BTW, at the same time that Walberg was on Leno, Gwen Stefani was on Jimmy Kimmel talking about working with Scorsese and said that she's rooting for him this year.

Probably a compilation of previous shows: February 20 ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEES Another look at conversations with Academy Award Nominees including Forest Whitaker, Peter O'Toole, Helen Mirren, Martin Scorsese, Clint Eastwood, and more http://www.charlierose.com/

Courtney- 03-01-2007

Maybe Anthony Anderson might have something to say about the Oscars - he's on Carson Daly tonight (2.28)

Nota Bene- 03-09-2007

FYI: Tonight's Conan O'Brien show is scheduled to be a repeat of Marty's appearance last October 3rd. I know Will was kind enough to provide it to us back then, but just in case anybody wants it on tape or missed it...

Kisses of the season Los Angeles Times - December 23, 2007 ARRIVING yearly between the visits of Santa Claus and Baby New Year, the Kennedy Center Honors -- "30th Annual Kennedy Center Honors" this time -- is a reliably cheery holiday event, a star-studded celebration of past work and ongoing influence in which the people of the performing arts and the people of Washington make nice for a couple of hours. The "Honors" selects five creative types each year and puts them in formal wear in a box with the president of the United States (his only job here is to show up). Kindred spirits recount their accomplishments; performances are offered in tribute to their particular genius. It's something like the awarding of a knighthood crossed with an episode of "This Is Your Life." The show mixes high and pop culture in a way that seems suitably democratic. This year's honorees: Brian Wilson (hosted by Art Garfunkel), Diana Ross (Smokey Robinson), Martin Scorsese (Cameron Diaz), Steve Martin (Steve Carell, operating on a pass from the WGA) and Leon Fleisher (Yo-Yo Ma), the concert pianist who lost the use of his right hand but soldiered on with his left. Caroline Kennedy is the event host. Ciara, Yolanda Adams and Vanessa Williams will sing in tribute to Ross; Lyle Lovett and Hootie and the Blowfish, improbably, to Wilson. The diverse talents of Ricky Jay, Bill Irwin, Martin Short, Earl Scruggs and Kristin Chenoweth will be marshaled to suggest Martin's range; and Robert De Niro and Francis Ford Coppola will blow kisses to Scorsese. The world will seem merry and bright. (CBS, Wed., 9 p.m.)

arnzilla- 01-12-2008

Ben Kingsley will be interviewed by Craig Ferguson on CBS, Monday night January 14th, at 12:35am. I guess he'll be plugging "The Wackness" where he plays a psychiatrist.

arnzilla- 02-27-2008

Patricia Clarkson will be interviewed by Craig Ferguson on CBS, Wednesday night February 27th, at 12:35am.

arnzilla- 06-15-2008

Ben Kingsley will be on Tavis Smiley's PBS show on Tuesday, June 17. Sir Ben was on Letterman this week but never mentioned Shutter Island.

will- 06-17-2008

Thanks :) At least we can more or less see how Cawley looks like. Letterman - Part 1 Letterman - Part 2 Kingsley is wearing a wig in the Wackness. Perhaps he'll have some hair on his head for SI, too.

Shynney- 06-17-2008

Thank you Will. What a wonderful creepy Cawley he will make, hair or not!

arnzilla- 06-18-2008

On the Tavis Smiley show, Kingsley said that he was just finishing the Scorsese film. Next up for Sir Ben: AMC's Sunday Morning Shootout, taped in early June and set to air on July 27.
