Baldwin didn't mention The Departed with Ellen. But on Jimmy's show, he twice said it was "very violent" and said "when I read the script, I thought..." then he made a wincing gesture. Jimmy asked if an actor is able to read Scorsese with regard to his own performance on the set and Alec said that "when you do something right, he's very approving. When you don't do it right, he won't say anything... like my father."

Anthony Anderson is on the Jimmy Kimmel show next Tuesday (10-11). He's been on before but I don't think it's a repeat.

Thanks for the Kimmel heads-up, Courtney. Anderson was there to promote the Black Film Awards which will be televised next week. He won best supporting actor for Hustle and Flow and he brought the award with him. It looked like this... Then Anderson said that they just finished shooting The Departed "two weeks ago" and that "we worked on it for about five months." Jimmy asked if it was a Black film and Anderson replied that "since I'm the only Black actor in it... probably not."

8) Wanted to remind anyone interested – Eli Harris will be on the NBC series Surface on Monday, Nov 21 at 8:00 est. He plays Deputy Church. Eli tells me it’s just a small role, but I’m definitely interested in seeing him and supporting a cast member of TD as well as someone who so graciously visited this board to chat and answer questions.
