Vera Farmiga article in Esquire Arnz
When I opened up my la-*test*-('") issue of "Esquire"...I knew that surely Vera had done this 'photo shoot' and 'interview' for YOU and the rest of "The Departed" fans :)

Thanks Peanut...
For the pics and for giving me the opportunity to talk a little bit about Vera.
U know, i knew Vera and her work for many years.
I had seen many films of her`s, before The Departed.
And i always liked her.
But there`s no doubt that 2006 was her year. No doubt at all.
The Departed: In a movie with a bunch of male stars, she managed to stood out on her own.
In an almost flawless performance she fullfilled all the previous promises.
She was what was supposed to be and a lot more. And that`s that.
Breaking And Entering: In her very brief role, she gave everything.
Etherial, delightful, charming, playful and extremely funny.
A reason to see this film. No. THE reason to see this film.
Running Scared: Vera proves in this film that she`s fearless.
If u have to go all the way, u`ll go all the way. End of story.
Electric, sexy and hot are just words. Vera on the other hand is something else.
We are all happy and proud for u Vera.

Thanks for sharing with us your 'thoughts' regarding Vera's two other films. Leela had ,also, told me to try to find "Running Scared" and "Down to the Bone" if I could...tho....unfortunately at this point haven't found them at our local video store . However, I'm happy to report that "Breaking and Entering" is due at my local video store next Tues...so will definitely check it out ! :)

Thanks for the scans, Peanut. The music playing during your avatar's scene was referenced this week on The soon-to-be departed Sopranos. I'll make a post about it in The Departed forum.

Thanks so much Peanut. Really enjoyed the article, especially the goat bits!!!!! I saw Down to the Bone. Vera certainly has no fear at attempting challenging roles and does them well.

Thanks for the scans Peanut.
I liked the "I'm part wood nymph" comment :D
I've seen a couple of Vera's other films
Down to the Bone is the one to watch. I thought she gave a good account of the dilemmas faced by someone trying to come off drugs without being trying to sensationalise it.
Running Scared was less impressive. It veered between serious drama and action flick without being sucessful at either. The story has similarities with The Departed but isn't as convincing. However Vera's performance kept me watching.
