Thanks will - not surprised its pretty empty. Pretty sure this project is way in the future. The script's (which is going to be hard to write in my humble opinion as TR had an expansive life story like HH but even more complicated to sum up in a 2-3 hr flick) not even been written yet- won't be cast other than Leo for quite a time.

Long time no update.

When asked for an update on the progress of his Theodore Roosevelt screenplay for Martin Scorsese, Meyer replied cryptically, 'If you live long enough, you'll see your movies get made.'

Four years... Shocked

Well, about a month ago, this is what imdb poster 'Antonia' said under a question about Scorsese's next project:
Quote:
As of this weekend, Nicholas Meyer's script,The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt , and the American language remake of Caché both have gone into Active Development -- both with Leonardo DiCaprio (activity on Silence has been minimal)

Although, why would she mention Cache? Wasn't this a mistaken announcement?

Antonia responds...

Arnzilla --

"...Isn't Caché a Ron Howard project?.."

Obsolete rumour circa early 2007; Imagine never moved forward on it

Plum Pictures bought the rights from Michael Haneke and Les Films du Losangeo -- Celine Rattray is executive producer; Galt Niederhoffer and Daniela Taplin Lundberg are co-producing with Universal distributing; Mr Scorsese still officially is its director with Mr DiCaprio as "Georges Laurent" (it is not inconceivable, however, for Mr Scorcese eventually to decide to executive produce and withdraw in favour of Mr Haneke's directing his own work in English)

Anticipated release 2011

Thanks, arnzilla
I had asked Plum Pictures in December 2007 and at that time they still had Howard directing.
Who knows... although doubtful, it could happen. But certainly the story will be altered somewhat, because I can't see DiCaprio playing the father of a teenager.
